OVERVIEW:

A new state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical facility will use innovative cell-based technology to produce influenza vaccines for influenza pandemics and seasonal vaccination programs. It’s the only cell-based influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere.        

KEY HIGHLIGHT:

Ongoing coordination and collaboration with other disciplines including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural teams.

Sulphuric Acid Production Plant

YEAR: 2010   

CLIENT: NICIC 

SERVICES UTILISED: BIM modelling

OVERVIEW:

This process plant consisted of 17 buildings / structures to produce 900,000 tonnes of concentrated sulphuric acid per year. We were engaged to provide design assist services and shop detailing for 750 tonnes of structural steel.         

KEY HIGHLIGHT:

Over 45,000 drawings were generated for steelwork.          

KEY CHALLENGE:

This was a brownfield project with very limited manoeuvring space for installation and siteworks which caused many issues during modelling and detailing.
